Tips for Better Instagram & Facebook Ads

In order to generate high-quality Instagram and Facebook ads, you'll need to provide Tako with sufficient context.

Remember, Tako can't "see" your brand or products. In order to get a better idea of what he should be writing and who the ad should be targeted at, he needs more details from you.

Here are some tips on how you can help Tako better position your ad to achieve your goals:

Product

You can leave this out if you want the ad to talk about your brand in general.

If you're crafting an ad for a specific product, you'll want to give a product name or product type that has enough details. For example, "Women's Knitted Cardigan in Navy" would be more helpful than just "Knitwear".

Make sure that Tako can tell what your product is from the input too. Something like "Chelsea Sleeved Midi Dress in Lilac" would be easier for Tako to figure out, as compared to "Chelsea Midi in Lilac".

Keywords

This is the part where you tell Tako more about your brand or product. Here are a few things you should consider:

  • Brand background: Let Tako know what your brand is about. We'd recommend writing this in a way that reflects your brand's tone of voice.
  • Detailed product features: What are some unique features or benefits of your product? Make sure you list them out so Tako knows to highlight them when generating your ads.

Target Audience

Think about who you want to address with this ad. In order to target your niche, you'll need to be as specific and detailed as possible.

For instance, using "long distance urban runners" would probably lead to better ad copy than just "runners".

You can describe your target audience based on specific interests (e.g. running enthusiasts), intents (e.g. people shopping for sport gear) and demographic information (e.g. 21- to 35-year-old males).
