Tips for Better Google Ads
When it comes to helping Tako generate high-quality Google Ads, there are some things you should bear in mind.
Remember that Tako can't "see" your brand or products, so you need to help it along by giving it some context. With enough details, Tako can get a better idea of what he should be writing and who the ad should be targeted at. Here are some tips:
Product
You can leave this out if you want the ad to talk about your brand in general.
If you plan to focus on a specific product, you'll want to make sure that your product title is sufficiently specific. For example, "Men's Bomber Jacket" and "Women's Knitted Cardigan in Navy" would be more helpful than just "Jacket" and "Knitwear".
You should also include other salient product features. Consider the following:
- Physical attributes of the product you want to highlight (e.g. "ribbed stand-up collar", "lightweight")
- Recommendations relating to the product use (e.g. "pair with jeans", "perfect for summer")
Keywords
Put yourself in the shoes of your target audience and consider what they might enter into their Google Search bar when searching for your product. This could be a single word or phrase like "classic bomber jacket" or "best bomber jackets".
If you're stuck, use a keyword research tool to help you find keywords that are most relevant to your product. You can check out SE Ranking's step-by-step guide on keyword research.
Target Audience
Think about who you're addressing with this ad. Be as specific and detailed as possible to target the right niche. For example, 'long distance urban runners' would be a lot more helpful to Tako than just 'runners'.
You can describe your target audience based on specific interests (e.g. running enthusiasts), intents (e.g. people shopping for sport gear) and demographic information (e.g. 21- to 35-year-old males).
